HOW IT WORKS
Purchase Tickets Online
Black Hills Ace is designed as a fully online fundraising raffle that allows supporters to participate from anywhere in South Dakota.
Tickets can be purchased through secure online links shared through:
• Black Hills Home Builders Association Community Foundation emails and newsletters
• Social media posts and promotions
• Text messages
• QR codes displayed at events, meetings, and participating businesses
• Direct links shared by supporters with friends, family, and coworkers
Supporters can choose from several ticket bundle options designed for both casual participants and weekly players.
Every ticket purchase receives unique raffle entries generated by the Dakota Jackpots raffle system. Entry numbers are automatically delivered by email and can also be viewed through your customer account dashboard.
Because all ticket sales are processed online, supporters can participate anytime during the sales period without needing to attend an event or be present during a drawing.
We encourage participants to follow the Black Hills Home Builders Association Community Foundation and Dakota Jackpots on social media and subscribe to organization newsletters for ticket purchase links, jackpot updates, winner announcements, and opportunities to share the raffle with others.
Every ticket purchased helps support scholarships, workforce development, housing initiatives, youth programs, and other community projects throughout the Black Hills region.
Weekly Drawings
Each Friday at 3:00 AM Central Time, the Dakota Jackpots system conducts a computerized drawing using a certified random number generator.
One winning ticket is selected from all eligible entries sold for that week’s drawing.
Each ticket bundle sold contains a designated envelope assignment. After the winning ticket is selected, the system determines whether the winning participant possesses the envelope containing the Ace of Spades.
If the Winner Has the Ace of Spades
• The winner receives 100% of the Chase The ACE Total.
• A second drawing is immediately conducted using all cumulative entries issued throughout the game.
• The winner of this second drawing receives 10% of Chase The ACE Total.
If the Winner Does Not Have the Ace of Spades
• The Ace remains in play.
• The weekly jackpot is paid.
• The Chase The ACE Total continues to grow.
• Additional ticket sales are added to future prize pools.
• The next drawing takes place the following Friday at 3:00 AM.
As the game progresses, participants have the opportunity to accumulate entries while competing for an increasingly valuable jackpot.
Transparency and Public Drawings
Most weekly drawings are conducted automatically using our GLI-certified computerized drawing system.
From time to time, Dakota Jackpots and the Black Hills Home Builders Association Community Foundation may host public drawing events, livestreams, or promotional gatherings that highlight winners, jackpot growth, and community impact.
These events are intended to enhance engagement and transparency while providing supporters an opportunity to connect with the organization and learn more about the programs their participation supports.
Regardless of whether a drawing is conducted during a public event or through the certified computerized system, every eligible entry has exactly the same opportunity to win.
Rules
• Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid name, email address, and phone number are required.
• Winners must provide government-issued identification when claiming prizes.
• Winners are responsible for any taxes associated with prize winnings.
• Ticket purchases are final unless otherwise required by law.
• Void where prohibited by law.
• Winning participants will be contacted using the information provided at the time of purchase.
• Jackpot totals, winner announcements, drawing updates, and raffle information will be published through Dakota Jackpots, the Black Hills Home Builders Association Community Foundation website, social media channels, and email communications.
